DIY: Neon shoes

DIY: Neon Shoes

Let's be honest. Most of the amazing shoes out there tend to be on the more pricy side, especially the uniquely designed ones. If you like statement shoes then usually you have to spend a fortune to gave them. However, I found a great DIY fromcCheap Chic Obsession that teacher you to make your own pair os statement shoes, and not break the bank.

You  will Need:
  • a pair of pumps or strappy heels
  • white spray paint
  • Neon spray paint (in whatever shade you want)
  • newspaper
  • tape ( I used scotch tape but white tape is easier to use I think)

1) use the tape to cover up areas that you don’t want spray painted such as the sole or the opposite sides of straps.
It should look like this when you are done:

2) take a sheet of newspaper and scrunch it into a ball, this covers the inside of the sole on pumps.

3) Take the white spray paint and begin spray painting the shoes evenly. I think it works best on a leather like surface although mine was satin and it still worked.

The first coat will look uneven like this below but you just have to keep spray painting until it is even. It will drip a bit but I did it all in one go.

This is how it should look when finished. Let it dry overnight.

4) Now you are ready for the neon. Begin spray painting the shoe evenly and make sure you do all parts, including the heel.

5) Let it dry over night and then spray paint any areas you might have missed.

Then you are done!
