Hi!
As my first post I thought I would introduce who exactly I am and what I am doing here. I am a college student studying in Illinois. I'm studying communication, art and theater. I also do cinema studies and fashion on the side though that probably won't be on my transcript unfortunately. So why make a blog?

I love style. I used to say I love fashion, which I think is still true in some sense but I think what I appreciate more when I see someone walking down the street or when I am putting together an outfit is style, or presence. Its not always about the clothes, its the way people put them together, the way they carry themselves when they wear them, where the clothes came from. Its personal style and the message the person is trying to convey with those clothes. Its about identity and uniqueness and stories. Thats what I want to explore in this blog.

I also have a weakness for DIY. I love to make stuff by hand and being creative. Sometimes I will find projects from other sites and post them ( most of the the time after trying them first), and sometimes I will just post projects I came up with myself. Its always fun to try new things and see what we can make ourselves.
